Photographers: This Camera Any Good?

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?…

I was thinkin’ about buying this camera soon since it’s tax time and all coming up…I had a Sony Cybershot (lower end model) and it served my purposes, but now I’m working as a photojournalist and after using their staff camera I find the P&S a little limiting (plus the LCD broke!). I figured it was time to upgrade.
PS I know the camera I want is also P&S, but I simply want a higher quality bang for my buck without spending several thousand dollars for an SLR. Any knowledge on this model? Good? Horrible? My fiance just got a canon rebel and I assume it’s similar (if not slightly more constricting). Feedback appreciated!

try getting a Mamiya C330, Hassleblad 500 C, Rolei 6006, or a Bronica ECTL. If you have a linited budget, you can get a Yashica Mat 124 they were only $100.00 brand new,

That is a very good camera. If that fits your needs, go for it. Personally, It seems too limiting for photojournaism unless it’s just a backup to the staff equipment.

The sony is an excellent camera for the money. It is smaller and lighter than the DSLR, so it will fit in your pocket easy enough
