I am doing some research about Black and White Photography, and thought this is a good place to start. I have been under the impression that today digital wedding photographers really do not pay as much attention to final product, and instead give their customer photographs straight from their camera, and let the customer do with the photographs whatever they choose. Do you other people think the same way?

I do have a pretty basic HP scanner/printer and am happy to spend the time, but is this the only way to transfer all my original photographs from 35mm film. I do not want to loose such a huge part of my life

I have used film cameras all my life and am fond of Leica 35mm photograph, also Nikon. I read the online digital camera reviews and want to make the jump to digital soon. Image quality is my highest priority. Don’t want to spend 4 or 5K but will consider a medium price range up to 2K or so. What do you recommend for pure image quality? Am expert in Photoshop and am able to interpret and improve images.

I’m thinking about buying a digital camera, because the picture on my phone is really bad(I want to put pictures on my computer). However, I know nothing about cameras. Any suggestions on what I should look into or what’s a good buy for someone starting out? Also are there other things not included with the cameras that I would need to buy(batteries, programs, charger, etc)? How much would all those things cost about? I would like to go to a store and ask some of these questions but I’m afraid that they would just care more about selling me an expensive product rather than telling me what would be best suited for me. Are there any stores that you would recommend? and would buying it from a pawn shop be a better deal perhaps, just wondering.
Remember, I’m not planing to use it as an advance photographer, just something fairly simple. Thanx:-)
