Do People Prefer B&w Or Color Wedding Photographs? If B&w, Are Thy Good Enough From Digital Photographers?

I am doing some research about Black and White Photography, and thought this is a good place to start. I have been under the impression that today digital wedding photographers really do not pay as much attention to final product, and instead give their customer photographs straight from their camera, and let the customer do with the photographs whatever they choose. Do you other people think the same way?
I am doing research for a new article which I will be publishing on wiki.worldonpaper.com
Thanks All.

A Good Nikon Camera For A Beginning Photographer?

I want to start doing photography, and I’ve heard Nikon is my best bet.
I need one that I can buy and use now, but won’t disable me if I go on to a more professional level.
[I wanna take BIG photos, not the crappy little digital camera kind]
Now, if it were a film camera, would I need to keep a place where I can develop my photos?
And if digital, should I invest in Photoshop CS3?
[I have PaintShop Pro 9+10, I can get my hands on 11 as well. I also have Arcsoft Photostudio.]
I’m just 14, and dunno if they’d let me get a developing room, and the camera has to be within a reasonable price, around 700 USD at most, but cheaper if possible.
Also, it does not have to be within a kit, separate products are fine.

Good Camera For An Ambitious ‘amateur’ Photographer?

I want to get a ‘starter’ camera, but without compromising quality; something a little serious, although I can’t say I’m an aficionado when it comes to the subject of finding a good camera, or what features I should be looking for. Now, to contradict myself completely, my price range is a measly 250$ or just slightly over. I was thinking about getting a Nikon Coolpix L100.

Any suggestions on this camera, or others that might be good?
All answers are greatly appreciated.(:
