The lens is this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/97… and I bought a 350D Canon body, (mistake thinking it would cost less instead I’ve waited and spent forever looking for a lens to go on it ) anyways, I purchased it thinking hell it can’t be that bad and I purchased at lower price from Amazon for 57 dollars instead of 80 from a store just as reputable as B&H so no worries there. Regardless, I was curious if anyone that has or does own this lens opinions, usefulness, longevity, etc.

This is a side hobby I decided to start, my main photos will be of landscape but can range to just about anything that interests me, I don’t have a very good eye for detail that is with taking pictures, but I’m working on it

im not a professional photographer and not so good in these matters,but i want to take some portraits but i donno which lens can match with my camera,its written 24-85mm on the camera itself,does it mean i cannot use a 105mm lens and it must be in this range???

i am the type of person that likes to take photographic portraits of people and pictures of peoples everyday life (usually on the sly as a think these photos show people at their most natural and best) the only problem is my current lens only has a range of 18 to 70 mm which often doesnt allow me tofocus in as closely as i would like and only gives views of the people i have photographed from a distance.
i am currently considering buying a new lens which has a range of 18 to 135 mm and another which is 18 to 200mm. i was wondering which of these lens would be better in allowing me to take photos of people regardless of if they pose or if the photo is taken on the sly also would a lens of this range allow me to take photos of the type discussed without being obtrusive i dont want ot look like a press photographer with a huge camera and lens

I have used film cameras all my life and am fond of Leica 35mm photograph, also Nikon. I read the online digital camera reviews and want to make the jump to digital soon. Image quality is my highest priority. Don’t want to spend 4 or 5K but will consider a medium price range up to 2K or so. What do you recommend for pure image quality? Am expert in Photoshop and am able to interpret and improve images.
