Is there really any difference in how beautiful or clear the photographs are?

I am working with some overweight woman who I would like to help them visualize how they would look with thinner faces etc. Most of them have been obese their entire lives and have no photo graphs to help them. Having a picture of myself when I was at a good healthy weight was what helped me loose all the weight I had gained during pregnancy and then an injury afterwards kept it on. I have seen commercials for plastic surgery and such that takes a photo and then changes a persons appearance to show what they would look like, so I’m sure there is software out there, I just don’t know the name of it. I really want to help these women, so if you know, please help. And also, please no fat jokes just to get yourself some points for answering questions. Addiction to food is no different than addiction to booze or cigarretes except it changes a person’s physical appearance. I used to be over 100lbs overweight myself and know from experience it hurts when the jokes come, so be nice ok?

I am an inspired hobby photographer, not on the professional level yet. I am very much interested in weddings and would like to offer one free day of photography services in the Cleveland OH area. I will take the shots and you will get a CD/DVD. However if you would like any products such as 5x7s, 8x10s, albums, proof books, etc. I can have those produced for you and all you have to pay for is the product. I get the rights to post the photos on my website and/or in my portfolio. I have years of photography experience as a hobby, I have just gotten my first dSLR camera, and I have the photo editing software. This is great for brides who cannot afford a photographer but would love the memories!

I’ve decided to change directions from Graphic Design and turn to Photography and i’m not sure what exactly i need for a portfolio. Are there any specific type of images required? Should i be expected to have a professional photoshoot done(i.e in a studio) little worried about the cost of that.
