Look At This Photograph…?

Everytime I do it makes me laugh how did our eyes get so red and what the hell is on Joeys head this is where I grew up I think the present owner fixed it up
And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times I wonder if it’s too late
Should i go back and try to graduate
Life’s better now then it was back then
If I was them I wouldn’t let me inhttp://www.morewood.net/images/g046.jpg

How Would You Analyse This Poem – Photograph?

Photograph
This is the way
you wanted to be remembered.
Elegant black dress,
sophisticated white pearls,
a radiant halo of hair,
blond as Marilyn Monroe’s.
Contacts, green as hundred dollar bills,
that draw men to your eyes.
Perpetually tanned, too,
like a Fifties’ movie star.
This photograph is more
head shot for Hollywood
than portrait for an obituary.
Sometimes we get the chance
to realize our dreams
before we lose touch with life.
We journey to Borneo,
purchase a Porsche,
or hang-glide off a cliff.
You prepared for death
by perfecting your image,
becoming your own press agent.
What were we to think,
when you handed us
the 8 x 10 color glossies?
All they were missing
was an autograph–
and any hint of cancer.
Despite your best orchestrations,
I will remember you
the way I have known you–
more Norma Jean than icon,
less distant, more mother.
Scott Wiggerman
Very interesting poem, very intricate and complex too. I wonder how people interpret it? Doing it for a school project.

Nickelback – Photograph – Songtext?

What was his life like when he was a child?
Does the singer like his past?
And why is the song called “photograph”?

I Am Looking For A Photograph Published Some Time In The ’40s Taken By Their War Correspondent Father.?

This photograph is one of two little kids,a boy and girl, taken from behind, they are walking from a garden arbour into the sunlight. They are nearly in silouette. Their clothing suggests 1940s or early 50s. If I remember the story properly, their father was a fairly famous World War II photographer. It may have been published in Life Magazine, but I am not sure about that. This photograph was his most requested photo. In his interview the photographer laughed about how he won awards for his war photos, but the people wanted the one of his children. I am not sure, but they MIGHT have been English. Does any one know what I am talking about? I used to see it a lot when I was a kid, but I haven’t seen it in years. I want to use it in a presentation, but can’t find a copy of it.
