I’m beginning to understand the chemical process of film developing involving the change from silver halide after struck by photons of light into pure silver. Then, a stop bath of a low pH solution is used to prevent continuation of electron transfer to the silver halide, stopping development. Then, a fix solution is used to remove undeveloped silver halide.
1. Identify chemical reactions upon which the industry relies.
2. Determine the role that each reaction plays in the industry.
3. How are the products of the reaction used by the industry?
7. Are there environmental concerns that arise as a result of the chemical processes?
8. Detail the nature of any environmental problems associated with the chemical processes.
9. What solutions and precautions are in place to prevent environmental accidents?
There were 10, but I have narrowed it down to these unanswerable by my limited knowledge.

I read a variety of high end fashion magazines and Architectural Digest and see many beautiful ads of watches and jewelry. I am wondering if they are using high end DSLR’s and macro lenses or medium format digital. It looks like the lighting is so specialized. I have seen the variety of light boxes and light tents on ebay, but there is a lot more technical info to learn about photographing reflective products. Are there any books out that show step by step tutorials in shooting jewelry. Also, it looks like there is a variety of retouching tools utilized to get the pro look in ads. What is the best gear needed to learn jewelry photography? Thanks for any advice and help with this topic.

Since your “likeness” can be use online or offline to promote an idea or product without your knowledge, are there certain rules that you (and the photographer) must follow?
