The lens is this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/97… and I bought a 350D Canon body, (mistake thinking it would cost less instead I’ve waited and spent forever looking for a lens to go on it ) anyways, I purchased it thinking hell it can’t be that bad and I purchased at lower price from Amazon for 57 dollars instead of 80 from a store just as reputable as B&H so no worries there. Regardless, I was curious if anyone that has or does own this lens opinions, usefulness, longevity, etc.

This is a side hobby I decided to start, my main photos will be of landscape but can range to just about anything that interests me, I don’t have a very good eye for detail that is with taking pictures, but I’m working on it

I am brand new to the world of DSLRs, having been in the world of normal digital photography for a few years. I have come into some money and thought I would finally splash out on a DSLR – but I want it to last the rest of my life, I’m unlikely to be able to afford going to another one! Although I may increase my lens collection. I photograph macro and wildlife (eg. deer, birds). Here’s the combination I came up with:
Canon 400D body
Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 USM
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM macro lens
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8
Hama tripod star 700 EF digital
Have I made any enormous mistakes here? Anyone have experience with this kit? I’d be really grateful for your help, as this is unchartered territory for me and I want to get it right first time. I’d like really sharp, proffesional-looking results.

What I mean is can it be used for business? I want to be a photographer, and I’m about ready for college, so I need to know if this camera is professional, I really like the features and everything, I think it can be used for business, it’s better than those skinny digital cameras.http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?…

What do you think of a business that offers studio space by the hour where a photographer can photograph subject under various conditions. There would be about 6 rooms full of backdrops, props, and sets ideal for senior portraits, family photos, product photography. Props would charge with the seasons.
Would you pay to use a place like this so you can provide unlimited options to you customer? How much would you pay?

I was looking at Manfrotto but they are priced crazy. Amvona, on the other hand seems to have similar products at a fraction of the cost. I’d like to hear from someone who can give me an unbiased opinion. Better yet, someone who’s used both.
