What’s A Good Camera For A Wannabe Photographer 13 Year Old Under $300?

I’m 13 years old and I really want a semi-professional camera. The thing is my parents are not going to spend more than about $350. I don’t want a little regular silver or pink digital camera like most teens have. I want one kind of like the professionals have but not as expensive and as fancy. I’ll list some ideas I had below but I’m not sure if they are good I need some expert advice or at least advice from someone who has that camera and knows what they’re talking about.

I reccommend these cameras, I don’t have any of them, but I know people who have them who have stunning pictures.

I hope I helped, I’m also thirteen and trying to get a camera for a nice price.

    You’re looking for a DSLR… under $350?
    I’m sorry.
Firstly, don’t get a refurbished… unless the warranty et al is in perfect condition.
You only listed one DSLR; the others just look like it. Of course, they are good buys and come with super zoom lenses, too, so a good way to start off.
If you’re really interested, please contribute some money yourself and get a DSLR.. Please. Add to it, and make it up to at least $400, to allow room to grow in. The cheapest DSLR in the market is the D40, body only for $300+ ~ (thereabouts). USD.
These aren’t professional cameras, though they are the type of cameras professionals use; SLRs.

  • the first one u listed is a digital slr camera, wich is probably what you want. but the rest are just dslr-like cameras. the best one u listed is probably the nikon p80. the actual slr camera doesnt come with a lense and the p80 has better picture and video quality. so id get the p80, if not the sony, then the other nikon, and then the pentax.

Those are all pretty good. The Pentax doesn’t come with a lense so you’ll have get a lense too. Out of those the Pentax has by far the largest sensor so it will take the best pictures, especially in low light. The others have some neat features though like the Sony being able to shoot high definition video.

go for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 10 MP Digital Camera betterhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001OI2…

  • NikonGuy:

you might want to save up till like $600 for a real slr.. the pentax doesnt come with a lesne so go with the p80
